I’ve Decided

Well I finally picked what project can replace the spot that Nora’s blanket previously held. I’m going to do the Celtic cable scarf. I figure that a flat scarf is a good place to practice and get the hang of cables. Plus, Celtic cables appeal to my Celtic roots. As its Project Runway night, I’m going to relax and start it once band practice is over.

I also ordered the yarn for Will’s hat (Swell from knitty), hoping that it will be a quick knit and I can get that out of the way so I can stop feeling guilty about it. I chose some knit picks yarns. (This kind in lemongrass heather and camel heather) I really like knit picks yarn. It’s a good quality for the price so its nice for little projects or for projects for other people (I like to save the expensive yarn for myself, is that selfish?).

I think I’m finally starting to fall into a nice little pattern with class and work for the semester, so now I can fit in times for regular knitting. During my tv shows is always a good time to knit and I have a few during the week, all guilty pleasures. There is Gossip Girl and The Hills on Monday and Bones and Project Runway on Wednesday (although I have to watch Bones the next day since I’m at band then), so I have two nights a week where I can knit for a short time. There is also a crafting group here in Ann Arbor that I have wanted to go to since half way through the Summer, but always end up being busy during their meetings. Its the Ann Arbor Craft Society and they meet on Sundays. I can’t go this week either, although I don’t know if they are meeting or not. I think next Sunday is out too since I’m having a woman weekend at home with my mom since dad will be hunting (hunting season starts October 1 or something). Man, am I ever going to get to join a knitting group? jeez….

I have more exciting news too, my boyfriend and I will be celebrating our three year anniversary this weekend. We don’t know the exact date we starting dating because it was an interesting process of several conversations, so we somehow decided on the 27th of September. Works for me. Anyway, I think we’re going to go out to dinner, maybe Applebees for Appletizers because I have had a craving for them for awhile. Kind of lame, but they are good and we are kind of broke.

Also, this week is when some friends of mine from work and I are getting together to buy a huge package of Red Wings tickets for the season. I’m totally pumped because I’ll be going to something like 6 games and the tickets are only $35 each in the package, which is not bad. I loooooooooove the Red Wings.
